First released by James Ray with The Hutch Davie Orchestra on the 45 "If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody / ?" (Caprice 110) in 1961. Probably the most recent version at the time of recording of this demo was by Maxine Brown released as the 45 "If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody / You're In Love" (Wand 1104) in 1965. The Wand label had it's offices in the same building as RSVP & PPX, and it's artists included Chuck Jackson with whom Jimi had toured earlier as part of a package tour.
